About the association
Iranian Headache Association
Formed in 2013 as a division of the Iranian Neurological Society. It joined the International Headache Society and the European Headache Federation in 2015, and was recognised in 2021 as an independent multidisciplinary organisation.

Founder and president of the Iranian Headache Association
Headache disorders are the most common brain conditions affecting a large portion of the general population. The Iranian Headache Association (IHA) is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by headaches in Iran. IHA focuses on changing perceptions and sharing knowledge about the causes and treatments of headaches and related painful disorders. It is essential to educate key stakeholders, including neurologists, general practitioners, and all individuals involved in headache management, on the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.
